Dozens from the Haitian community took their anger over President Donald Trump's reported comments about immigrants from Haiti and Africa to the streets Friday.
Those taking part in the rally say they demand an apology from the president for his alleged disparaging remarks last week. They say all of the countries he reportedly mentioned have been fueling the wealth of the western civilization for 500 years.
Participants say they are fed up with the government's policies on immigration. They say there is no justice and no peace.
One group involved in the rally was the 1804 Movement for All Immigrants. The group says 1804 is significant because it's about the independence of the Haitian people.
The participants marched from Grand Army Plaza and went across the Brooklyn Bridge to the Trump building in Manhattan.
