Gunfire from duck hunters caused concerned residents in New Rochelle to call police Wednesday morning.
Two duck hunters in a camouflage boat were the cause for the morning?s ruckus. The quiet neighborhood of Kennsignton Oval seemed shocked that hunting on the Long Island Sound is legal as long as the hunter is firing away from land.
?I?m so surprised,? said resident David Lerman. ?I figure a heavily forested area, but this is such a peaceful neighborhood.?Neighbors say that no matter what the excuse may be, they will call the cops next time they hear gunfire.
