The organizer behind the "Abolish County Government" movement held a rally Thursday in White Plains in preparation for a protest called "the Westchester tea party."

Strip club and real estate owner Sam Zherka was joined by the Westchester County executive's son, David Spano. Both are calling for abolition of county government over excessive taxation.

Zherka hopes to get thousands of supporters to dump tea bags on the steps of the county office building in White Plains April 25. Zherka and David Spano say it is only the beginning.

"I'm disenchanted with the job my father has been doing," David Spano says.

While Westchester County Executive Andy Spano has been silent about the family feud, Deputy County Executive Susan Tolchin released a statement, accusing Zherka of "using his enormous wealth from his strip club empire to mislead and exploit the public."

Sheeren Bobrowsky, a Yonkers homeowner and supporter of the anti-tax movement, says something must be done to ease the financial burden on Westchester residents, who are paying the highest property taxes in the country.

Zherka says he will present the county executive and county board with a list of demands April 25. If property taxes are not lowered, Zherka says he and his supporters will take their cause to Albany.
