Greenburgh school evacuated due to "strange smell"

A Westchester school was evacuated today after a "strange smell" was detected.
Students from the Richard Bailey School in Greenburgh on 33 Hillside Ave. walked to the town hall after school officials detected the odor just before 9 a.m.
Crews from the fire department and Con Ed rushed to the scene to investigate the source of the odor. The school reopened around 10:30 a.m. There is no word yet as to the cause of the smell.
The school house has over 350 students from grades four through six. No injuries have been reported.
