Governor Pataki (R-NY) will be spending another night in the hospital recovering from his appendectomy performed last Thursday. While the governor is apparently not showing any signs of an infection, his digestive tract is still not working as doctors would like. The Peekskill native is recovering at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt. If the governor's intestines do not return to normal, further surgery is a possibility. The governor has been up and walking. He's also been doing some work and meeting with his Chief of Staff John Cahill. According to the doctors, however, until the governor's bowels are functioning normally, he'll have to continue conducting state business from his hospital room. According to Pataki's doctors, it is possible he could be well enough to leave the hospital on Tuesday, but they stress that it is not likely to happen. Related Article:
