Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the start of a $61.8 million pavement and bridge improvement project for the I-95 in the Bronx and Westchester County.
The plan will repair 11 bridges and replace the superstructures for two pedestrian bridges.
The majority of the work and paving will take place overnight to avoid impeding traffic, Hochul says.
Approximately 120,000 vehicles use the I-95 each day.
