It was the last day to tee up before golf courses close throughout Westchester County.
All public and private courses will be closing Saturday morning under the state's directive.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo added golf courses to the list of nonessential businesses.
"I do not think that golf is intrinsically — since it's not a contact sport — that it intrinsically is one of the bad recreations but, you know my judgment notwithstanding the governor, and the state has the right to impose a standard," says Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
Golf courses will remain closed from Saturday until at least May 7.
