A well-known Caribbean restaurant chain has opened its first location in Orange County.
Golden Krust opened earlier this month in the Target Plaza on Route 17K in Newburgh.
Famous for its Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, Golden Krust offers a wide variety of food, including vegetarian options.
Owner Unique Gray says she's been pleased by the turnout since she opened earlier this month.
"Just to see how the community came out that was what did it for me. I can honestly say it was rough getting here get but, just how the community came out and support it was amazing," says Gray.
She says on the shop will give kids free ice cream on Sundays.
