Goats roam loose along N line tracks in Brooklyn
Two goats were found roaming along the N train subway tracks in Brooklyn Monday morning.
Officials tweeted out a picture of the goats walking near the tracks in Borough Park between the Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway stations.
A spokesperson for the MTA says the transit authority contacted the police and animal control after the two goats were seen headed southbound.
After about two hours of trying to wrangle them, the goats were sedated and brought off the tracks.
Though it is unclear how the goats got there, a police official speculated that they might have been headed for the chopping block at a nearby meat shop.
New York City Animal Care and Control says the goats will be transferred to a farm sanctuary.
