Some of our troops overseas will soon be getting a taste of home.
Members of the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson troop got together this weekend in Valhalla for Operation Cookie Drop. The program sends the delicious treats to our troops stationed overseas.
The girls packed the cookies into boxes, decorated the crates, and even wrote messages to our soldiers and veterans. “It's nice for them to get a little taste of home and it's nice for them to get a little sweet treat and for them to know that someone's thinking of them back home,” says Elizabeth Hunt, of Yonkers.

Last year, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson sent more than 100,000 boxes of cookies.
