A girl has died after being struck by a car that jumped a curb outside P.S. 307 in Kingsbridge.

Police say a 55-year-old woman was driving the wrong way when she lost control of her vehicle at Eames Place, between University and Webb avenues. They say she slammed into a group of people, the young girl among them, at dismissal just before 3 p.m.

Police say the girl was pronounced dead at Saint Barnabas Hospital. 

Nine other pedestrians were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.
