Strong winds Sunday morning toppled a three-ton 70-foot maple tree on Midland Avenue in Bronxville.
Residents say the tree landed on top of a car with a young couple inside. Witnesses say although the couple seemed to be in shock and the rear window was smashed, the couple was not injured.
The tree also took down several power lines. Con-Ed crews are working to restore power to the block.
