The German International School New York in White Plains organized a run to raise money to help Ukraine.
Students from pre-K to 12th grade will run on the school's track field.
Organizers Leah Richmann and Nicholas Rueda teamed up with UNICEF USA.
"I'm proud that we managed to organize all of this and that we also think that a lot of people are going to participate," says Rueda.
The entire run was originally scheduled to take place Thursday morning. The 10th and 11th graders ran at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., but the stormy weather postponed all other grades to run Friday.
