Rockland Community College held a gathering Sunday to remember those who fought in the Korean War.
The event saluted 27 men from Rockland who were killed in action during the war.
“They call the Korean conflict the ‘forgotten war,’” said one veteran in attendance. “So we read their names, and we put their names on stone so we all can remember.”
It was July of 1953 when the Korean War was halted due to a ceasefire.
