A car was severely damaged after colliding with a garbage truck in Orangeburg this morning. Police say a 2012 BMW SUV was driving south on Eisenhower Court when it entered Convent Road and hit a westbound

Garbage truck, car collide
A car was severely damaged after colliding with a garbage truck in Orangeburg this morning.
Police say a 2012 BMW SUV was driving south on Eisenhower Court when it entered Convent Road and hit a westbound truck around 8 a.m.
A hazmat team had to be called in because the truck's fuel tank was punctured.
The driver of the car and one passenger in the BMW sustained minor injuries.
Police think sun glare appears to be the major contributing factor to the crash.
