A fire broke out at a home in Fishkill Saturday, officials say.

The fire started at around 8:30 p.m. on Van Wyck Lane on the back deck and burned through the house.

People on the scene say the fire spread through the roof and caused the home’s garage to collapse.

All four members of the family were able to make it out with help from a few neighbors.
