Funerals to be held Thursday for 5 victims of Spring Valley fire

Five people, including two young cousins aged 3 and 14, were killed in the Spring Valley fire in March.

The funerals for the victims of the deadly Spring Valley fire that happened in March will take place Thursday.

Five people, including two young cousins aged 3 and 14, were killed. They were identified as Nastacio Díaz, Maria Yosephina Garcia, Rudy Climaco, Darwin Climaco and Carlos Interiano.

Five others were also injured. It is the most people to die in one incident in the Hudson Valley since the tragedy on the Taconic in July 2009.

Services will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Church of St. Joseph and St. Boniface on Main Street in Spring Valley.
