Family and friends said their final goodbyes Monday to retired NYPD Sgt. Jose Pabon.

His funeral was held at St. Columbia Church in Chester Monday morning.

Pabon is the 10th active or retired New York City police officer to die by suicide this year.

The 49-year-old was found dead at his home in Goshen last week.

The suicide rate among NYPD officers has become a troubling epidemic, plaguing the department.
