Funeral services were held today for a 68-year-old White Plains man who was shot by police after allegedly trying to attack them with a hatchet and kitchen knife.

The funeral service for Kenneth Chamberlain - who was shot on Nov. 19 - at Mount Vernon's Mount Calvary Church drew a standing-room-only crowd.

Police say Chamberlain confronted them with a knife and a hatchet when they responded to a life-alert alarm from his apartment. After using a Taser and other non-lethal means, officers shot him twice when he allegedly tried to stab one of them.

He later died at White Plains Hospital.

Attorney Mayo Bartlett says the family is not accusing police of doing anything wrong, but believes there is audio and video of the incident that could answer the family's questions. White Plains police shooting enrages community
