Funeral held for murder-suicide victims
Family and friends said a final goodbye to members of a Pound Ridge family killed in a murder-suicide.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at St. Patrick's Church in Bedford Wednesday to pay their final respects to Steven Dym, his wife Loretta and their 18-year-old daughter, Caroline.
Investigators believe Steven Dym, 56, murdered his wife and daughter last Friday before turning the 12-gauge shotgun on himself.
Authorities say a cleaning woman made the gruesome discovery, finding the three lifeless bodies in a second-floor hallway.
Steven Dym reportedly had financial troubles, but an official motive for the murders and suicide has not yet been determined.
A college fund has been set up for William Dym, the son of Steven and Loretta, who was away at college when the murders and suicide took place.
All three family members will be laid to rest at a private burial.
