Funeral arrangements for New Jersey State Police Trooper Marcellus Bethea have been announced.
Bethea died suddenly during a training exercise earlier this month. He was a state trooper for eight years and worked out of the Moorestown Station in Burlington County.
Two visitations will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Bordentown. Tonight’s will take place from 3-7 p.m., and Wednesday’s visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m.
Bethea's funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the catholic church. He will be laid to rest at Holy Assumption Cemetery in Roebling after the service.
Gov. Phil Murphy says he signed an executive order directing all U.S. and New Jersey flags be flown at half-staff on Wednesday to honor Bethea.
