The Mount Vernon community came together Tuesday night to raise money for a man who died while vacationing out of the country.
Orlando Moore and his friend Portia Ravenelle died in a car crash while vacationing in the Dominican Republic. Police say their rental car plunged off the road into the Carribean Ocean.
Members of the Mount Vernon community are fundraising to bring Orlando's body home.
"It goes to his family, help bring the body back, help with funeral arrangements and hopefully to help his daughter out in life," says Dwayne Brown, Orlando's friend. "He was a good father. I knew that. He was a good father and he loved his daughter."
A GoFundMe has been created to collect donations.
