The frigid cold snap that has come over Westchester in the past week is proving to be more than an inconvenience for some families.
Residents in a low-income housing complex on Winthrop Avenue in New Rochelle say they have no heat and are freezing. Some tenants say they have resorted to using ovens to make their homes livable.
With temperatures expected to drop well below normal Sunday night, many Yonkers residents wonder how much longer the cold spell will last. They hope, as is expected, that the weather gets significantly warmer Monday.
