10h agoA special fundraiser being held this holiday season is helping to buy gifts for terminally ill children.
The nonprofit Friends of Karen is hoping to raise enough money to help 900 families in the Hudson Valley and tri-state area this year.
The organization provides support services year-round for families struggling with pediatric illness. Organizers say the fundraiser means even more to the kids, their siblings and parents due to it being close to Christmas.
Friends of Karen is also hoping to provide holiday dinners to families along with fulfilling their children's wish lists.
