Franklin Borough police are looking for a man they say called in a bomb threat as part of a diversion to commit another crime.
Authorities say that the man walked into a Dunkin’ Donuts on Jan. 13 around 12:30 a.m. and asked to use the phone. He allegedly called police to report a bomb in the nearby Shop Rite parking lot.
Police say that they believe he made the call so that he could commit an attempted burglary somewhere else.
The man is described as a white man with a beard. He was seen wearing a gray winter hat and an orange Under Armor hooded sweatshirt. He was seen driving a silver four-door Volkswagen sedan.
Anyone who may recognize the man is asked to contact Franklin Borough police at 973-827-7700 extension 231 or 237.
