New York State Parks officials say some Rockland and Orange county beaches and pools are filled to capacity due to the July Fourth holiday.
They include Lake Tiorati Beach and Lake Welch (both located in Harriman State Park), Bear Mountain State Park and the pool at Rockland Lake State Park.

Anyone heading out for the holiday should check the state parks social feed for more information.
Authorities were out in full force Thursday to avoid traffic issues that hampered the holiday last year for many trying to get into Rockland State Park. It reached capacity at 1:30 p.m.
