Police are investigating the death of an elderly Mount Kisco woman after neighbors reported a foul smell coming from her home Sunday.
The woman?s neighbors say they had not seen her in three weeks and became worried after noticing the smell of decay coming from her 25 Maple Avenue home. Police arrived at the scene where they found her body and are treating the home like a crime scene, although they say she may have died from natural causes. The woman?s name is being withheld pending notification of her family.
Neighbors describe the woman as quiet and nice and call the incident a tragedy, whether she died from foul play or alone from old age.
