As rising food prices push more families beyond their financial limit, food pantries like Part of the Solution are becoming increasingly important. To meet the growing need POTS is opening a new facility next door to their current building on Webster Avenue. A POTS spokesperson says currently they serve about 300 people a day, a number that is growing. The new 15,000-square-foot, $5 million facility will offer medical and dental services. Most of the funding for the building was made possible through large capital grant and private donors, but donations are still needed.
