First swine flu vaccine doses made available
The first doses of the new H1N1 vaccine arrived in Westchester County Thursday, but some people say they have lingering doubts about the vaccine.
State health officials estimate there are about 10 million New Yorkers who belong to the high-risk group targeted for the first round of vaccines, including pregnant women, children and young adults. Health care workers are also in that group.
The first doses come in the form of a nasal spray. Doses that can be given by injection will be ready in the coming weeks.
"I'm not too sure of it, and I think I'd rather wait," says Dan Sauro, of New Rochelle.
