First responders revive one cat, rescue several others from New City fire

Homeowners in New City are grateful for first responders saving their home from fire this morning and rescuing several of their pets from the flames.

Homeowners in New City are grateful for first responders saving their home from fire this morning and rescuing several of their pets from the flames.
Fire officials says the blaze broke out on Strawtown Road between Jane Francis Way and Dore Court around 5:30 a.m.
They say the homeowners were able to get out safely. One firefighter suffered a burn to his hand.
The homeowners say one cat died in the fire, but several were rescued, including one that was revived by a member of the New City Ambulance Corps.
The cause of the fire has not been released yet.
