Firetruck, shuttle bus crash in Yonkers; 10 hurt

Ten people were injured Wednesday evening when a Yonkers firetruck and a shuttle bus collided.
Officials say that Ladder Company 313 was responding to a call and was in the intersection of Yonkers and Kimball avenues when it collided with an Empire City Casino shuttle bus at around 6 p.m.
Four firefighters went to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Six people on the shuttle bus also suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The shuttle bus was on its way back to the casino at the time.
An investigation is underway to determine exactly how the crash occurred.
