Thanks to the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department, a 16-year-old blind Chihuahua is now safe. The fire department was dispatched to a dog that had fallen in a storm drain.            

The dog's owner was attending to another dog, when the dog, Tink, wandered and stumbled into the drain.            

That drain was about 5 feet deep.

Firefighter Joshua Smith climbed down and successfully removed Tink.
