A fast-moving fire in Northern Westchester forced nearly two dozen seniors from their homes.
Fire officials say flames ripped through a 55+ SpringVale Apartment complex in Montrose just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Everyone who lived in Building 16 was told to evacuate, and News 12 was told that no one was injured.
Fire officials say the blaze, which they believe started in the basement, was knocked down quickly but damaged several units at the three-story apartment building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross is working with building management to help displaced residents.
