A building on the campus of a Westchester hospital in Sleepy Hollow suffered damage following a fire incident.
The scene unfolded Thursday at a residence hall located directly across the street from Phelps Hospital.
Fire officials disclosed that the fire, deemed to be of electrical origin, originated in a room within the hall. Ten individuals managed to evacuate the premises before emergency crews arrived on the scene.
Capt. Martin Rutyna of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department said in a statement, "Initial primaries were negative for people in the occupancy. Our police department did a great job of clearing initial locations. With security from Phelps Hospital, we were able to make entry with no one in the building. No one appears hurt at this time.
