Hot spots reignited fire at a badly damaged Chappaqua mansion overnight.
Officials say the flames sparked Sunday afternoon at a house on Sutton Farms Drive. It took about 60 firefighters from multiple departments to get the blaze under control.
But it seems it wasn't quite done burning overnight. The Chappaqua Fire Department responded to those hot spots early this morning and put the fire out again.
Chappaqua Fire Department Chief John Maduras says the fire was in the attic and roof area. "There was extensive damage to the attic area of the residence, but the fire was held to the attic area, which is believed to be the area of origin," says Maduras.
The fire department says residents were home at the time, but no one was injured.
The cause of that fire is still under investigation.
