Food insecurity is on the rise across the Hudson Valley.
At Cerato Park in Yonkers, hundreds of families stood in line to get some fresh produce and milk in a food drive organized with the help of Yonkers Councilwoman Tasha James.
Officials at Feeding Westchester say they have given away 13 million pounds of food since March.
To meet the demands, organizers at Feeding Westchester are asking the public for help.
Feeding Westchester partnered together with celebrities and local talent for its first ever textathon-telethon, called Westchester Strong, to raise money for the food pantry.
The telethon airs Sunday and Monday.
