From games and rides to PPE production. A family fun center in Orange is now switching gears to help during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Castle on Route 17M in Chester is now using its 3D printers to make plastic parts used in face shields for health care workers and first responders.
The Fun Center has been closed for a month, and staff members say they thought using equipment and supplies they already have would be a great way to give back to the community.  “It’s our customers, but it’s also the children’s mothers and fathers that are out there. It’s very relatable, as I have kids myself. It’s scary times, but it’s nice to be able to do something positive,” says Mike Baier, director of IT at Castle Fun Center.
The Castle is donating all of the parts made to a group supplying essential workers with PPE called North East Face Shield Organization.
