Family and friends paid their respects in Garnerville Friday to a man who served five decades in law enforcement.
Rockland County Sheriff James Kralik died Monday after losing his battle against cancer at the age of 74.
Kraylick was called an icon to law enforcement and was remembered for having a good heart.
The current sheriff, Louis Falco, says Kralik was a legend and led by example. He says he was a mentor and teacher, and a very jolly person who made the holidays festive.
