Friends and family rallied outside the White Plains courthouse Wednesday to support a man convicted of murdering a man in Dobbs Ferry in 1996.
Former NYPD officer Richard DiGuglielmo is currently serving a sentence of 20 years to life for the murder of Charles Campbell outside of his family?s deli. DiGuglielmo has always maintained that he killed Campbell to defend his father. He says Campbell was beating his father with a baseball bat when he shot him.
DiGuglielmo has exhausted all avenues of appeal. His friends and family are urging Governor George Pataki (R-NY) to commute his sentence to time served.
