As rockets fly in Israel, dozens of Hudson Valley families are scrambling to get loved ones out of harm's way.
Some parents, like Kate Hertzberg, of Yonkers, and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, have children living or traveling in Israel.
Paulin says her youngest daughter, Sarah, is a photographer who takes risks but is scared right now in Israel .
"When there's a bomb coming in your direction, you can't help but feel vulnerable, afraid," she says. "We're so far away. It makes it difficult."
