A Rye mother of four was tragically killed by a falling tree.Darlene Seaver was in the back yard of her home cleaning debris from Friday's storm when she was crushed by the tree. The Westchester area had damaging wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour, uprooting trees and knocking out power to thousands of customers. Seaver's family said it was too distraught to talk about her death, but Seaver's co-workers said she will always be remembered as a person who volunteered her time with soup kitchens and with the homeless. They said she was a person full of life.A wake for Darlene Seaver is planned for Tuesday in Rye and a funeral on Wednesday. In leiu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.The death is the third death in Westchester this year from violent storms.
