Falling concrete barely misses pedestrian
A pedestrian is lucky to be alive after she was almost hit by concrete falling from a Yonkers building this morning.
A large section of concrete dislodged out of third-story archway and landed on the sidewalk of McLean Avenue.
A woman walking and talking on her cellphone had walked by the spot just seconds before the boulders cashed down.
Chunks of the falling concrete also broke a second-story window in the building, which has already been replaced with plywood.
Building inspectors have cordoned off the sidewalk and some parking spots in front of 986 McLean Ave. They are also checking the integrity of the rest of the building.
