Former Fox & Friends host Gretchen Carlson hosted a leadership training program Saturday focused on empowering women against violence and harassment.
The event was held at the White Plains Public Library and hosted by the All In Together campaign.
Carlson filed and won a landmark sexual harassment lawsuit against her boss at Fox News, helping to pave the way for the #MeToo movement.
Simone Leiro, with All In Together, says the event's goal was to encourage women to get involved with their communities and advocate for changes to policies that affect them.
"The 'how' of these workshops is to help women find their voice and find actionable steps of how to make impacts in their communities," Leiro says.
Carlson says another challenge for women who speak out is returning to their line of work. In her case, she says she plans to return to
