Some of Westchester's hottest restaurants and chefs came together Thursday night together to fight hunger.
More than 600 people and over 30 renowned chefs were under one roof for Feeding Westchester's annual "An Evening in Good Taste."
Local restaurants served up delicious bites and beverages to raise money to fight hunger. "Often people refer to Westchester County for its level of affluence first and yet one in five of our residents don't always have enough to eat,” says Feeding Westchester President Leslie Gordon.
PepsiCo workers also helped pack meals for the event. "PepsiCo has had a long standing relationship with Feeding Westchester. We are committed to providing nutritious solutions to Westchester County…this is right here in our backyard so it’s our pleasure to enjoy this fabulous relationship with such a fabulous organization," says Sue Norton, of the Feeding Westchester Board of Directors.
The event raised more than $300,000 for food security in Westchester.
