Elmsford opens cooling center to help beat the heat

As temperatures are expected to approach the mid to upper 90s this week, the village of Elmsford is offering residents relief. A cooling center has been set up at the Elmsford Senior Community Center

Elmsford opens cooling center to help beat the heat
As temperatures are expected to approach the mid to upper 90s this week, the village of Elmsford is offering residents relief. A cooling center has been set up at the Elmsford Senior Community Center on North Stone Avenue. Food, games, TVs and computers are available to pass the time. Members of the Elmsford Police Department are heading to the homes of senior citizens to check on and offer them rides to and from the cooling center. The center will be open Monday through Wednesday of this week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.Click here for team coverage about Con Ed
