Students at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Scarsdale unintentionally injected themselves with EpiPens during an annual health fair.
According to the Archdiocese, the EpiPens used during the demonstration were supposed to be model pens, but were in fact operational.
Half of the fourth-grade class inadvertently self-administered the pens, which are used to treat allergic reactions.
The school nurse treated 11 students and parents were notified. A letter was also sent home.
None of the children were seriously hurt and News 12 is told they all were back at school Friday.
The Archdiocese says it is taking corrective measures to make sure this does not happen again.
News 12 received emails from concerned parents, but several who were at the school Friday did not want to talk on camera.
