The effects of the violence surrounding New Rochelle High School is being felt throughout the city, following two stabbings and an assault within the past eight days.
Iona College students beginning their spring semester this week say they couldn't help but notice a difference on campus.
They say security has been stepped up and college identification is being checked. The college even sent out an email to students Thursday night promising extra security.
Avenue Deli owner Michael Napilatano says his business has suffered this week due to the rash of violence that has kept students out of his store.
"It hurts each day. You get 50, 60 kids a day and that adds up," says Napilatano.
Parents and students have been invited to attend a forum at the high school to discuss the ongoing violence on Jan. 23.
