Police say a man hit a pedestrian and then kept going and hit another group of people in Ossining on Sunday, sending half a dozen people to the hospital.
The accident unfolded shortly after 3 a.m. on Spring Street outside Kenrick Gordon's home.
"I was inside my house and I heard a lot of screaming and yelling," Gordon says. "I came outside and I saw a car in my driveway and somebody yelling that his leg is broken."
Police say the driver, whose identity hasn't been released, started to flee after the first crash, turned left onto William Street and struck a group of people. A total of six people, including the driver, were rushed to area hospitals for treatment. Two were badly hurt.
Police haven't confirmed whether alcohol played a role in the incident, but neighbors say it isn't uncommon for drivers to travel fast in the area.
Police are trying to pinpoint exactly what happened. It's unknown what charges, if any, the driver could face.
