Driver dies after shearing two telephone poles

One person was killed in a one-car accident in New Castle overnight.

Police say the crash happened just after 1 a.m. today on Route 133 near High Meadows Road.

Witnesses say the car was found off the road and in the bushes after taking out two telephone poles. No other vehicles were involved.

New Castle police are investigating the cause of the crash.
