The driver who allegedly drove the wrong-way on the Bronx River Parkway Friday and injured six people is now facing charges.
Police say Diego Caceras, 35, was driving southbound on the northbound side of the parkway in Yonkers, near the Sprain Brook Parkway split around 3:15 a.m.
Police say he struck a Dodge Durango carrying a family of six, ranging from teens to adults, who had just arrived at LaGuardia Airport.  They were taking a rental car north to visit family at an undisclosed location when the accident happened.
County police say everyone, including Caceras, was taken to Westchester County Medical Center.  Some of the victims in the Durango have been released from the hospital. Caceras remains hospitalized. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
Caceras has been charged with DWI and reckless endangerment.
